High-Pressure Common Rail Fuel Systems
This course focuses on theory, operation as well as proper diagnosis and servicing of the modern electronically controlled High Pressure Common Rail (HPCR) diesel fuel systems. Fault codes, premature failure and engine progressive damage often occurs as a result of compromised HPCR fuel system components. Most of these failures are preventable and can too often go undetected or misdiagnosed. Knowledge of fuel flow and proper testing procedures are essential for proper troubleshooting. Although we will be utilizing a Cummins fuel system, lessons learned throughout this course can be applied to HPCR fuel systems from any manufacturer.
